Living in Weho has it's advantages and disadvantages. Namely, the god damned parking enforcement which counts as like 20 disadvantages. However, one big one on the plus side is Basix Cafe at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. & Kings Road. We've been going there at least a few times a month for two years.
Their caramel apple pancakes are key.
Parfait goodness . . .
If you're lucky enough, you'll get James as your waiter . . . he kicks ass
Dogs can sit on the patio or the three sidewalk tables (no alcohol on sidewalk)
I'd also recommend:
Brioche French Toast
Breakfast Burrito
Chilaquiles
And I'd challenge you to find a spicier Bloody Mary.
