This is one of my favorite LA events. If you don't know what the Day of The Dead celebration is then you might be living under a rock (look into that). This event never disappoints, has awesome altar decorations and rockin Mexican fare. The following are some tips for enjoying the the day:
1) Parking is a bitch, this is actually the worst parking event I've ever been to, so go early and be prepared to walk a bit.
2) The altars are pretty cool in the daylight but even better in the dark
3) The food lines can get long so eat first, then walk around
4) Buy Mexican bread. I don't know what it's called but it's really, really, really good
5) Check out the vendor section for our favorite designer, De La Luna Designs, I think she's doing event inspired pieces.

6. Do not buy a a combo of sugar and coco that looks like a hockey puck in both shape and weight. Trust me-NCH
Mexican bread is called pan dulce (sweet bread). And yes, it is really, really, really good.
