STILL HOLDS UP

After grabbing drinks last night with Mr. & Mrs. N our conversation on the ride home went something like this as "Video Killed The Radio Star" came on and we proceeded to rock out to it:

Mr. N: Turn this up

-K: Ooooh good song

Mr. N: This still holds up

-K: Yes . . . yes it does

Mrs. N: That bouncer is laughing at us . . .

Mr. N: You know what else still holds up . . . . . Winds of Change

And he is absolutely correct.

I'm not a history major, but I'm pretty sure that their rock brought that wall down. The Scorpions blew a wind, a wind of change if you will, that knocked the Berlin wall down.

I think the Scorpions also single-handedly eradicated Communism...or was that Rocky in Rocky IV?

I think that was Rocky, or it might have been that episode of Head of the Class where they went to Russia to "learn" about each other. Could go either way.

Come to think of it, I think that Communism may have been thwarted by Richard Grieco in "If Looks Could Kill." He goes to France with his French class where he gets wrapped in international intrigue and single-handedly disposes of an attempt by the Russians to dominate Europe.
