This August Esotouric is featuring two bus tours in honor of Charles Bukowski. This is not your mom's tour company:
"Our routes veer off into fascinating, neglected neighborhoods. Our expert guides are passionate, brainy and hilarious. Our tour themes are provocative and complex, but never dry, mixing crime and social history, rock and roll and architecture, literature and film, fine art and urban studies into a simmering stew of original research and startling observations."
August 16 - 7:00pm- Bukowski's birthday passengers will be treated to the following:
- a mixed drink at Musso & Frank's served by his favorite bartender
- locations like the Postal Annex Terminal where his novel Post Office was conceived
- his childhood home
- Mariposa Avenue apartment he lived in
- tickets - $75
August 18 - 2:00pm - This slightly different tour features:
- a stop at Musso & Franks (bring cash)
- a rare tour of the Postal Annex
- a stop at Tai Kim’s Scoops Gelato shop for Bukowski inspired flavors (which I fear).
- tickets - $55
