THINGS TO DO THIS SATURDAY

Santa Monica as seen from The Huntley

-GLOW
Santa Monica Pier (map)
Saturday from dusk till dawn

Everyone keeps blathering on about this one. It's an art exhibit/celebration inspired by the Nuit Blanche in Paris. A sample exhibit by VJ Culture (Grant Davis) is "Goldie", a single goldfish kicking it in his bowl while his image is projected onto windows facing Ocean Ave. As an FYI I see no liquor sponsors for the event, but it might be good to walk through this on the way to the bars.

-CINESPIA
Hollywood Forever Cemetery Screenings, (map)
Saturday, gates open at 7:30pm

This weekends showing is A Clockwork Orange. Parking is $5 and tix are $10. Let's face it this movie should be shown in a cemetery, it's fitting.

-CLUB SPACELAND in Silverlake
Saturday 9:00pm

The Long Winters are playing and word on the street is they are good. Tix are $15

I heard from a co worker that glow was horrible and massive crowds you had to wait in line to get on the pier so it looks like I dodged a bullet.
